Kentish Opera brings chorus and solo items from the well-known and beloved range of Gilbert and Sullivan operettas, followed by a full staging of Trial by Jury.
This operetta tells the tale of a trial in which a young lady sues her ex-lover, in a case of “breach of promise of marriage.” The cast includes a womanising judge, a tearful plaintiff, a roguish defendant, a incompetent jury. The most irregular proceedings result in a verdict of mirth and merriment.
Directed by Stephen Antony Brown, with Robyn Sevastos as Musical Director.
