Theatre careers seminar with Hannah Sands (OS 2014)

The Drama department have been keeping the theatrical spirit alive for the school during lockdown, hosting play readings, online theatre trips and practitioner Q&A sessions as part of the newly instituted Sackville Theatre Society.

Most recently they were joined by Old Sennockian and drama scholar Hannah Sands (OS 2014), who recently completed her Director residency at the Royal Exchange Manchester, for a discussion on pursuing a career in theatre.

Despite the postponement of many projects until the Summer term, the Middle School Play, Greenland, has continued to rehearse and create whilst online. Students have been working around different projects to explore the core themes of the play, including writing poetry, designing learning resources, making short films and new pieces of theatre that run parallel to the original story of environmental activism.

With such a strong creative spirit, we are looking forward to having our students back in the rehearsal room.
