Outstanding Educator Award

Huge congratulations to Mr Sébastien Coquelin, Dr Paul Parham and Ms Evelyn Gilbert-Bair on receiving Outstanding Educator Awards from the University of Chicago. They were all nominated by former students of Sevenoaks now studying at the university.

Every year, UChicago gives newly admitted students the opportunity to recognize the teachers who have made a difference in their lives. The prestigious award has existed for over three decades, with new students being asked to nominate teachers from their high schools whose guidance has helped them along the path toward intellectual growth.

According to the university website, an Outstanding Educator shapes young minds in meaningful ways by thoughtfully approaching instruction, sharing an infectious love for learning, and caring for students both inside and outside of the classroom.

All award winners receive a commemorative award, certificate, and letter that includes details from the student who nominated them.
