OS Golf Report 2021
The OSGS have enjoyed society days at Sweetwoods Park in April and Crowborough Beacon in July. We had one day cancelled at Knole in May due partly to Covid-19 problems but at the time of writing are looking forward to two more days in the autumn, at Hever and Piltdown.
In addition to the above we played a friendly match against Old Alleynians on 7 July at Littlestone Golf Club. This was our first match under new management and we were somewhat overwhelmed by a team of superior golfers whose handicaps were considerably less than ours. It was great fun nonetheless and a return fixture is planned for next year.
The philosophy of the society is to provide fun golf days to players of any age and ability. The cost of golf, breakfast and a chance to win one of many prizes is about £65. It would always be great to hear from any OS who would like to know more about us. Interested parties should contact me, Adam Gilbert, by email below.
The photo was taken in July on the terrace at Crowborough Beacon Golf Club with its outstanding views to the South Downs.
