Many congratulations to the Class of 2023 on their impressive IB results.
Together, our students achieved an average IB Diploma score of 39.0 points, more than eight points above the world average and in line with our pre-pandemic results.
Significantly more than half our students, 57 per cent, earned 40 points or more – a fantastic result – with 73 students earning 42 points or more.
Five students achieved the maximum Diploma score of 45 points, among just 25 students in the UK to do so this year.
Mr Jesse Elzinga, the Headmaster, said: ‘Well done to all our students for gaining their IB Diploma, a great accomplishment for our second largest cohort of 231. They have achieved these remarkable results despite the disruptions they have encountered in their secondary education due to the pandemic. These are the first public examinations these students have taken, and their hard work, rigour and determination is commended.
‘Well done to our leavers, and Godspeed.’
This year, 179,917 students around the world took the IB Diploma. The IB’s outlook is invaluable, empowering our students to flourish in a global community. Our school leavers of 2023 are passionate, creative, critical thinkers who will go out into the world and make a difference.
