RIBA National Award 2022

Sevenoaks School’s Aisher House has won a prestigious RIBA National Award 2022.

The RIBA National Awards are given to buildings across the UK recognised as significant contributions to architecture. This year's winners, announced on 23 June 2022, were selected from the RIBA Regional Award winners named earlier this year, when Aisher House received a RIBA South East Award 2022.

Designed by Tim Ronalds Architects, the latest boarding house sits opposite Park Grange. RIBA notes that it 'combines a skilful response to a complex brief with a confident piece of placemaking', and commends the sustainable and functional nature of the building as well its unique appearance.

The building was funded by Sevenoaks School Foundation and is named after the Aisher family, who are among the school’s greatest historical benefactors.

This is the second RIBA National Award earned by buildings at Sevenoaks after the Science and Technology Centre and Global Study Centre also received the award in 2019.
